Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 23 stocks of which 10 advanced, 8 declined and 5 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 6,231,607 units valued at over $357,266,455. Scotia Group Jamaica was the volume leader with 3,584,012 units (55.12%) followed by Lascelles, deMercado and Company Ltd. with 1,140,574 units (17.54%) and Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited with 525,600 units (8.08%). In Wednesday's trading session the following reflect the movement of the JSE Indices: - The JSE Market Index declined by 1,795.57 points (2.09%) to close at 84,218.17. The JSE Select Index declined by 76.86 points (3.14%) to close at 2,372.62. The JSE All Jamaican Composite declined by 2,993.23 points (3.43%) to close at 84,366.47. The JSE Cross Listed Index by 0.00 points (0.00%) to close at 785.32. The JSE Junior Market Index declined by 8.06 points (1.17%) to close at 681.35. The JSE Combined Index declined by 1,800.56 points (2.05%) to close at 85,942.27. The JSE US Equities Index by 0.00 points (0.00%) to close at 57.43.
